hey guys. this is my good friend Ryan Bandong. he is an awesome guy, and a great singer/songwriter— he was just this dude online who kept bugging me to collab and what not, and i was in school in Boston so i was a bit busy, but i finally told him to come thru so i could meet him. he spent a few days at my apartment, we wrote a song, and he became one of my greatest friends. now he’s doin big things, recording with Jesse Barrera himself, and playing shows all over.
love you bro.
buy his EP in TWO DAYS. show your support for good music, that happens to be by an independent artist, who happens to be Filipino!!!

The greatest distance on Earth is not north to south. It is when I am right in front of you and you don’t know that I love you.

I’m happy that I belong to a Filipino family. :]
- We don’t FART in public.
- We don’t pick our noses in public.
- It is not okay for our parents if we get pregnant at fourteen.
- It is not okay for our parents if we have boyfriends at fifteen.
- But if ever we had one, they’ll probably watch out for our safety, and make sure it’s going to be a good one.
- And they’ll make sure we don’t get pregnant.
- We don’t go out of the house without bras.
- Or even without undies.
- We follow our parents’ advices.
- We follow them our parents.
- Our parents work hard to raise us up in a nice way.
- They try to discipline us.
- And children do follow.
- We don’t leave home when we turn eighteen. But we still study in colleges.
- After graduating, we don’t leave home yet. We try to find job to support our family.
- If we have a stable job, that’s the time to marry (only if we are ready to take responsibilities.)
- We can be responsible at times.
- We’re generous.
- We’re hospitable.
- We try to be reunited with our relatives through occasions.
- We’re afraid of scandals.
- We’re not racists.
- We are born learning who Jesus and God are.
- And we love Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit.
- We’re raised to be a follower of God.
- We try to keep in touch with each other (family).
- We don’t judge foreign performers immediately. We try to idolize them instead.
- We ride JEEPNEYs.
- We hang pictures on our walls because we’re proud of our family pictures.
- We eat together, specially during dinners.
- We share food.
- We can speak English fluently.
- We try to sacrifice things for our family.
- Filipinas are beautiful.
- We’re proud about our complexion.
- We don’t talk about sex that much.
- We’re born into a conservative nation.
- We don’t have Sex Education in our country (yet).
- We’re responsible for our mistakes.
- We just marry one person (at a time: when such things happen).
- We are hard workers.
- Pornography is so illegal.
- Infidelity is so illegal.
- Illegal drugs are not tolerated.
- We always want a clean home.
- We love music so much.
- We admire our fellow Filipinos.
- We try to make wrong things right.
- We’re always reminded by the people around us to “Stop being stupid”.
- We respect older people.
- We respect other people.
- We respect respectable people.
- We respect ourselves.
- We take care of our own parents if they’re already too old to take care of themselves.
- We don’t throw our ageing parents to the home for the aged.
- We don’t let them die ALONE.
- We take a bath EVERYDAY.
- And WE’RE NOT MONKEYS. TAKE NOTE OF THAT. We’re BEAUTIFUL CREATURES made by the hands of GOD. :)
And I am proud to be a Filipino. I’m not ashamed of it. :]
